Beyond the smokescreens and disinformation campaigns about the decline in tourism in Tulum, current "megaprojects" affecting our true wealth and diversity, both cultural and natural - regardless of kingdom, species and/or nationality - are developing with less scandal and publicity than sports, tv series of El Chapo, countries invading others, or simply extraction of natural resources, such as the water crisis in northern Mexico.
Projects like "Puerta al Cielo" inside the reserve of the biosphere of Sian Ka'an. "Accidental fires" for the change of land use for its subsequent real estate development in Holbox. Megaports in Cozumel and Puerto Morelos. Megaparks developed by first-world-countries in "emerging" countries, like Royal Caribbean in Mahahual.
It's up to you to decide what you feed upon. For us, we know the tourism season in the area always go down between July-November, when by the way turtle nesting season occurs, birds chicks fly for their first time, migratory species cross/leave/return borderless. All these we prefer to read, or to do new diplomas, travel around exploring the 68 native cultures in Mexico, or simply enjoy biking around the calm streets and empty beaches in Tulum, with or without seaweed, we live in the caribbean ❤️🏝️
