Black Spiny-tailed Iguana

Also known as Black Spiny-tailed Iguana, Iguana negra de cola espinoza, Gemeiner Schwarzleguan, 黑刺尾鬣蜥, "T'ol Juuj" in Yucatec Maya, refering to the spines on the male's back, just as in Greek "Ctenos" for their comb-liked form.


They can be fast moving around, holding the Guinness for the fastest lizard on Earth sprinting at 34 km/h 21 mph. Commonly confounded with the C. Acanthura and C. Pectinata, only C. Similis is found in the area and Central America.


The Opuntia flower essence is used to assist existing more joyfully disregard challenging growing conditions. They lend good company one another :)
