A collage of fantastical creatures that Spaniards and other newcomers reported to had seen on their excursions to the new continent.


In 2011, English author and historian Tom Holland, hosted an episode for the BBC called " Dinosaurs, myths and monsters", exploring the origins of paleontology and how native and ancient cultures aroundd the world have created extraordinary stories around creatures such as dragons, griffins, cyclops and more. Thanks to paleontology and research, we have nowadays a better understanding about.
